What does Starlink say the referral reward is?
Starlink's help articles "How do I refer people to Starlink?" and "How do I use a referral link?" say: "You and the person you refer receive the same reward." The amount "depends on the country they signed up in" and is shown in your account, "for example, $100 in the US." Starlink's referral page says both people receive cash direct to a bank account or service credit, and that rewards vary by region.
How do you actually get it?
According to Starlink's help center, a new customer opens a referral link, signs up for Residential or Roam service on starlink.com, activates the kit and stays subscribed for at least two months. They pay for the first month, since activation helps confirm the referral is legitimate. The reward is issued after two months, as soon as 60 days after activation. Cash goes to a linked bank account where available, and service credit is deducted from an invoice. Starlink says it emails you when the reward is confirmed.
What are the restrictions?
Starlink lists these: you must be a new Starlink customer, since existing or returning customers are not eligible. Rewards are only issued when you sign up on starlink.com, so kits bought from resellers, retailers or by account transfer do not count. The plans that qualify are Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps, Residential Max, Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited. Referral rewards may also vary for referrals outside the referrer's country. Starlink can change the program, so the amount shown in your account is the one that counts.
Did the reward go from $50 to $100?
According to the owner of this site, who has an active Starlink account and referral link, the reward was $50 before and is $100 now. We could not check that against Starlink's published pages, which describe the current program only and give no earlier amount or effective date. Treat the increase as the site owner's first-hand report, and the $100 itself as Starlink's own US example. The amount shown in your Starlink account is the one that counts, and Starlink can change it.
What the Internet Archive shows: its December 2025 copies of Starlink's referral pages (captured December 9 and 12, 2025) describe a "Free month for you and them" program, with a service credit applied 30 days after the friend activates. We found no archived page showing $50. Archived copies from January to September 2026 load only as empty page shells, so we could not read the wording in between.
One more correction: until October 12 this site said a new customer got one free month on their second invoice. Starlink's current help center no longer says that, so we updated our referral page, deals page and every post to match.
How do you use our link?
If you are a new customer, check your address on starlink.com first, since availability and plan prices vary by location. If you order through our referral link, you get the same reward as the referrer (Starlink's US example is $100), after two months subscribed. You still pay for the kit and month one as normal.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Starlink referral reward?
Starlink's help center says the amount depends on the country and shows $100 as the US example. Both the referrer and the new customer get the same reward.
When is the reward paid?
After the new customer has subscribed for two months, as soon as 60 days after activation, per Starlink's help center.
Is the reward cash or credit?
Either. Credit is the default. In most countries you can switch to cash in your account, and the choice is read when the reward pays out.
Do existing Starlink customers qualify as the new customer?
No. Starlink says existing or returning customers are not eligible, and the order must be placed on starlink.com.
Did the reward go from $50 to $100?
The site owner reports that his own Starlink account showed $50 before and $100 now. Starlink's public pages do not list a previous amount or a change date, so we cannot point to an official source for the increase.
