Short answerChecked on starlink.com's US pages today: Residential service starts at $55/mo for the 100 Mbps plan, $85/mo for 200 Mbps and $130/mo for Max. Roam starts at $55/mo for 100 GB, $80/mo for a newer 300 GB tier and $175/mo for Unlimited. These are "starting at" figures that depend on your address, the 100 and 200 Mbps home plans are only sold in select areas, and hardware offers vary the same way (the site currently advertises "no upfront hardware cost in select areas"). Every plan comes with a 30-day full-refund trial.

What are the Residential plans and prices?

Bar chart of Starlink monthly service prices in October 2026. Residential: 100 Mbps $55, 200 Mbps $85, Max $130. Roam: 100 GB $55, 300 GB $80, Unlimited $175. Starting-at prices that vary by address.

Three tiers, all with unlimited data and a 30-day trial: Residential 100 Mbps at $55/mo and Residential 200 Mbps at $85/mo are the budget options, capped at those download speeds and only available in select areas. Residential Max at $130/mo is the full-speed tier: Starlink advertises up to 400+ Mbps, top Residential network priority, free professional home installation, and eligibility to add a Starlink Mini kit with discounted Roam plans for travel.

On hardware, the site currently leads with "no upfront hardware cost in select areas" rather than a single kit price, and it is rolling out a Starlink V5 kit: smaller, lighter and more power-efficient than the V4, rated up to 375+ Mbps, available in select areas while production ramps. What you are offered, and what it costs, appears after you enter your address, so we do not quote one national hardware figure.

What are the Roam plans and prices?

Also three tiers. Roam 100 GB at $55/mo covers occasional trips, roughly a week of typical use. Roam 300 GB at $80/mo is the middle tier for regular travelers; it sits between the 100 GB plan and Unlimited in a way Starlink's lineup did not offer before. Roam Unlimited at $175/mo is the full-time option with unlimited high-speed data and international travel in 160+ countries and territories. On the 100 GB and 300 GB plans you get unlimited low-speed data after the high-speed allotment, and travel within the US and Canada.

All Roam plans can be paused and un-paused. A Standby Mode keeps emergency messaging and easy reactivation alive in dead zones for a small monthly fee. In-motion use is supported across Roam plans.

Are these prices the same everywhere?

No, and this is the part most price roundups get wrong. Starlink labels its prices "starting at" and ties both plan availability and hardware offers to your service address. The two cheaper home plans exist only in select areas, and third-party trackers show different snapshots of the same pages. The numbers above are what starlink.com's US pages showed us today; the numbers that matter are the ones shown after you type in your address.

How does this compare with Amazon Leo?

It is not a fair fight yet because Leo has no published prices at all. Amazon says consumer service is planned for 2026 and that it wants to pair Leo with Prime, eero and Fire TV, but there is nothing to buy. Until Leo publishes real plans, Starlink's public pricing is the only number a US shopper can act on. Our Starlink vs Amazon Leo comparison tracks both sides as this changes.

Is there a way to pay less?

Two legitimate ones. First, the 30-day trial: if the service does not work for you, Starlink refunds the hardware and the first month in full when you file a support ticket within 30 days of activation. Second, the referral program: if you order through a referral link, you and the referrer get the same reward, paid as cash or service credit after you have been subscribed for two months (Starlink's US example is $100; the amount shown in your Starlink account is what counts).
